Migliore

Pastor, Musician, Survivor

Rev. Rebecca Migliore was born and raised in Princeton. After ordination to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in September 1989, she worked as associate pastor at Park Presbyterian Church in Newark, New York, and then moved back to New Jersey, where she has served in West Orange for the last 31 years. During that time, she also spent 10 years playing piano and harp by the bedside at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Her love of music has taken her around the world (with the Princeton University Glee Club and the professional a capella group, the Princeton Singers) as well as introducing her to the joy of children’s theater (adults performing for kids). Migliore also enjoys dancing — especially country line and Zumba. She has been linked to her spouse, Ann Marie (domestic partner/civil union/married), for more than 30 years. They have loved having cats share their lives. In 2011, she was diagnosed with AML (acute myloid leukemia) and after remission and relapse, received a bone marrow transplant from her father in 2012. She continues to serve the church in a half-time capacity and truly tries to live life full out, for “no day is promised.”
