Judy Jarvis is the founding executive director of Princeton University’s Office of Campus Engagement and works to create new or enhance existing opportunities for campus-wide connection and engagement. This includes creating and leading the new two-week Wintersession enrichment and activity period in Princeton’s academic calendar; co-leading Princeton Research Day; convening peer education groups on campus; and leading pilot initiatives like the recent Community Care Day. Prior to this role, Jarvis was director of the Princeton LGBT Center and director of Vassar College’s Women’s Center and LGBTQ Center. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Rutgers University Higher Education Program, where she focuses on crisis leadership and the campus experiences of LGBTQ+ students.
