As Princeton’s provost, Jennifer Rexford is responsible for aligning the University’s academic mission with its resources. She is the Gordon Y.S. Wu Professor of Engineering and a professor in the computer science department, where she served for eight years as department chair. Before joining the Princeton faculty, Rexford was a researcher at AT&T Labs, where she designed tools and techniques deployed in the company’s backbone networks. Her research focuses on computer networking, with the larger goal of making the internet worthy of society’s trust. Rexford is the co-author of “The Real Internet Architecture,” with Pamela Zave, and “Web Protocols and Practice,” with Balachander Krishnamurthy, and the co-editor of “She’s an Engineer? Princeton Alumnae Reflect,” with Yvonne Ng ’91. She lives in Princeton with her wife and their daughter.
