Gary King worked for over 32 years at IBM, including two years in the United Kingdom. He has been a volunteer for Princeton University almost since graduation, serving on his class’s 5th, 20th, 30th, 40th and 45th Reunions committees and co-chairing the 35th Reunion in 2014. King was president of the Class of 1979 from 2014 to 2019, culminating in ’79’s award-winning 40th Reunion. He served on several Alumni Council committees, including chairing the Committee on Awards for Service to Princeton (2011) and the Princetoniana Committee (2015-2017), and served as national treasurer for the Princeton Prize in Race Relations (2011-2017). Since 2019, King has served as the narrator for the One and Only P-rade, including the two V-rades in 2020 and 2021 — something he hopes never to repeat!
