Debbie Bazarsky is the inaugural director of Boston University’s LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff. After leaving Princeton, she served as visiting assistant professor in the Center for Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University and as dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and dean of Enrollment, Engagement, and Diversity at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.

Recognized as a leader around LGBTQIA+ topics in higher education, Bazarsky provides consultation both within and outside of higher education and has led LGBTQIA+ campus assessments for numerous universities. She has served as co-chair and on the executive board of the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals. Bazarsky co-wrote their “Standards of Practice: Core Competencies for LGBTQIA+ Directors and Professionals in Higher Education” and an article about it in the Journal of Diversity in Higher Education. Her work at Princeton was a labor of love, and she is grateful to be back on campus for the second “Every Voice” conference with so many fabulous Princetonians.
