As founder and chairman of Solitaire Partners, an investment management and advisory firm focusing on real estate, hospitality, consumer, media, financial service, health and wellness, and technology, David Jackson has developed real estate properties of over 150 million square feet with a total value of more than $15 billion. He is also leading an initiative focusing on ways to increase participation of people of color, women and LGBTQ+ executives in the asset management industry. Prior to founding Solitaire, he was chief executive officer of Istithmar World, the government of Dubai’s $25 billion sovereign wealth fund. In 2007, Private Equity International named Jackson to its “Fifty Finest” list of “market-transforming individuals who give shape and character to private equity.” He was also named to the New York Observer’s “100 Most Powerful People in New York Real Estate” list in 2008. Jackson serves on the board of directors of Queer Princeton Alumni as well as on the board of directors of Concerned Black Alumni of Princeton, a group of alumni calling for Princeton University to establish an applied research center to combat racism. He previously sat on the board of advisors for the Yale School of Management.
