Advocate, Leader, Mentor

Howie Rosen is a past president (2016-23) and treasurer (2013-16) of Queer Princeton Alumni (QPA). As president, he is most proud of working with Prof. Wallace Best, chair of the Gender and Sexuality Studies (GSS) Program, to launch a new QPA-sponsored post-doctoral fellowship for the GSS Program that will expand teaching and scholarship of queer-relevant subjects at Princeton. Recruitment for this fellowship is underway. Rosen is retired from a career developing software systems for transportation companies. He and his husband, Mike Minarik, divide their time between homes in Princeton and Barcelona and dance Argentine tango (amateur) at queer tango festivals around the world.
